Step into the vibrant world of David McKee’s much-loved books with Elmer and Friends: The Colourful World of David McKee.

This multi-sensory exhibition, created by Seven Stories - the National Centre for Children’s Books - celebrates McKee’s classic stories through original artworks and hands-on, interactive displays.

Focusing on the colourful adventures of Elmer the patchwork elephant, the exhibition also offers a closer look at the beloved characters and stories that helped make McKee one of the UK’s best-known children’s authors for more than 40 years - including Not Now, BernardKing Rollo and Mr Benn.

Ideal for families with children under seven, the exhibition is enjoyable for all ages thanks to David McKee’s stories being loved across generations.

Lighting in this exhibition has been reduced to help us preserve the original artworks on display. If you think you may require any assistance during your visit, please email noviumaccess@chichester.gov.uk
