This beautiful Blue Vintage silk scarf has been designed by local print designer, Anjali Walton, as part of our ‘Dialogues in Design’ range, which saw us collaborate with local designers to produce a collection inspired by our Mystery Warrior exhibition.
The exclusive design is digitally printed onto habotai silk and handmade by a team of skilled production partners in the UK. Habotai silk is soft, lightweight and warm, which means this scarf is perfect to wear for most of the year.

Anjali Walton is a textile designer who makes scarves and products for the home. With a love of colour and intricacy, she embraces digital image-making to create pieces that are both contemporary and reminiscent of bold vintage and retro patterns. Anjali worked with the decorative patterns seen on the headpiece to create a geometric motif. She layered the single motif using digital techniques to create a visually striking design in an earthy colour palette and a 1950s style influence.
“I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to collaborate with The Novium Museum on the Bersted Warrior project. When I first saw the the headdress I immediately noticed the intricate circular pattern in the metal work on the ornate crest, and felt it would translate well into geometric print designs for fabric.
